Colorectal Cancer
Purpose/Mission
The Colorectal Cancer task force employs special projects and
public relations campaigns related to colorectal cancer.
The colorectal cancer task force is a partnership of over 25 organizations and individuals from multiple disciplines, dedicated to saving lives through efforts to prevent colorectal cancer. The primary focus of this task force is prevention, as colorectal cancer is a truly preventable cancer. Strategies for prevention include public awareness campaigns, provider awareness and prevention strategies for health care systems. It is a very exciting time for the colorectal cancer task force as Amendment 35 monies have allowed funding for the Colorado Colorectal Screening Program. With current and future strategies-the goal of the CRC Task force is to screen 75% of the eligible population in Colorado.
This task force meets at 7:00 AM the 2nd Tuesday of the month. To find out more about this task force or to join this task force, contact the Chair of the task force.

A message from CRC Co-Chair Andi Dwyer
Hello CRC Task Force Members,
We had a great call last week with nearly 20 people attending and good representation from outside and within the Denver Metro area-thanks to everyone who joined. From the ideas and enthusiasm on the call, it is clear we will continue the momentum and move forward in a meaningful way.
In the last week of August, we will send an announcement about the TF meeting in Sept/Oct based on response to the survey. We would like to grow our reach and membership, please extend an invite to anyone who may wish to join the CRC Task Force. If your co-workers or peers would like to learn more about the Colorado Cancer Coalition and Task Forces or sign us as a member, please visit www.coloradocancercoalition.org.
Action Items:
1) Please review the attached meeting agenda with notes.
2) If you have yet to do so, please complete the CRC TF survey about when/how to convene the greater CRC TF in the future. The survey will close on August 27th.
