Purpose/Mission

The Colorectal Cancer task force employs special projects and public relations campaigns related to colorectal cancer.

The colorectal cancer task force is a partnership of over 25 organizations and individuals from multiple disciplines, dedicated to saving lives through efforts to prevent colorectal cancer. The primary focus of this task force is prevention, as colorectal cancer is a truly preventable cancer. Strategies for prevention include public awareness campaigns, provider awareness and prevention strategies for health care systems. It is a very exciting time for the colorectal cancer task force as Amendment 35 monies have allowed funding for the Colorado Colorectal Screening Program. With current and future strategies-the goal of the CRC Task force is to screen 75% of the eligible population in Colorado.

The Collaborating to Conquer Colorectal Cancer in Colorado (C5) grant which is funded by CDPHE’s Cancer Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease Committee, has produced its first series of outreach messages. Evolve Communications produced the spots.
