Task Forces

A variety of task forces were formed to assist with the implementation of the Colorado Cancer Coalition activities. Each task force meets independently on a regular basis. Membership to most task forces is open to any Coalition member. If you’d like to join a task force, click here to learn more.

The Colorado Cancer Coalition is proud to announce the formation of the Cancer Genetics Task force.

The Cancer Genetics Task Force is a network of individuals interested in increasing the awareness of hereditary cancer and cancer genetic services in the state of Colorado. Its primary focus is education and prevention through public awareness and provider and community education. The task force will also serve as an advisory panel for research requiring cancer genetics expertise. Members include physicians, genetic counselors, public health professionals, research professionals, support group representatives and other community health care professionals.

This Task Force was formed to provide a centralized forum where individuals interested in cancer genetics could come together to discuss barriers and propose solutions to access of cancer genetic services in Colorado. Recent focus has been on updating the presence of hereditary cancer within the Colorado Cancer Plan. Monthly meetings are held via conference call.
