What is the CCC?
We are the statewide, nonpartisan, multidisciplinary, coalition providing education, networking, best practice sharing, and partnership opportunities for those working in oncology care and support. We are committed to providing a neutral space for dialogue from diverse perspectives to further improve cancer outcomes in Colorado.
In addition, we support the needs of Coloradans to prevent cancer, detect cancer early, and enhance quality of life for survivors and their caregivers by disseminating education, cancer resources, and connecting patients and their caregivers to opportunities to advocate for better cancer outcomes in Colorado.
A Program of Trailhead Institute
The Colorado Cancer Coalition (CCC) is a program of Trailhead Institute, a nonprofit public health organization based in Denver, Colorado. In partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (CCCP), the Coalition advances statewide cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship efforts. Together, Trailhead, CDPHE, and CCC’s ten volunteer-led Task Forces work collaboratively to achieve the goals of Colorado’s Cancer Plan.

Why Engage with the CCC?
Joining the Colorado Cancer Coalition (CCC) connects you to a statewide network of organizations, professionals, and advocates working together to reduce the burden of cancer for all Coloradans. Members gain access to trusted information, expert collaboration, and opportunities that strengthen cancer prevention, care, and survivorship across our state.
Through the Coalition, you’ll stay informed with evidence-based cancer prevention and screening resources, and have access to educational webinars that address emerging cancer topics. You’ll connect directly with experts and peers across the cancer continuum—prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care—and collaborate through CCC Task Forces and statewide partner meetings that foster collective action and shared learning.
Membership also provides access to programs and resources that enhance quality of life for patients, survivors, and caregivers, including supportive and palliative care connections. As part of our statewide network, you help shape Colorado’s cancer control efforts by sharing stories, data, and best practices that drive meaningful systems change.
Members receive regular updates through CCC’s monthly e-newsletter and invitations to coalition meetings and events that keep you connected to Colorado’s cancer community. Together, we’re building a Colorado where everyone has the opportunity to live beyond cancer.
