Cancer Surveillance Specialist – Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment

Full job description.

This position performs regular and ongoing data quality tests to ensure that Colorado cancer data received from multiples sources are complete, accurate, and fit for use in directing public health policy, planning, cancer research, environmental studies, and cancer control programming and evaluation. This position ensures that hospital tumor registry programs in Colorado comply with cancer reporting standards, laws, and regulations.  This position interprets complex medical information to determine case reportability and accuracy. The position provides technical assistance and information related to cancer surveillance to internal and external customers.
