Survivorship Task Force Successes

Survivorship Day: Our first Survivorship Day was held on May 13th,  2017 at the Lamar Street Center in Arvada.  About 60 people attended. Speakers and activities included a morning group walk, a healthy cooking demonstration by Project Angel Heart, talk by healing coach and cancer survivor, Tracy Maxwell, laughter yoga, talk about palliative care by Debra Davis of UC Health.  For lunch, survivor tables were organized by cancer type to help survivors meet other with the same diagnosis.  We had 20 vendor tables with free resources. 39 people filled out evaluation surveys and we received an average of 4.45 rating (5 is high), with lots of positive comments about the day.  20 people signed up to serve on a survivorship advisory board for the CCC.
