Colorado Cancer Coalition (CCC) will host a Survivors Day Celebration on June 25, at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, CO, celebrating cancer survivors by honoring and remembering those affected by cancer, and raising awareness for cancer survivorship.

The event will include a survivors nature walk, music, yoga, lawn games, resource tables, snacks, activities, and more. It is open to all ages, and the CCC encourages families and caregivers to join their cancer survivor for this celebration.

“Living through cancer and becoming a survivor is something we intend to honor and celebrate with a day filled with festivities,” said Dr. Kori Novak, executive director of Colorado Cancer Coalition. “Surviving cancer and navigating the journey post-cancer is extremely difficult – celebrating survivors and highlighting their continued strength is a privilege we enjoy.”

Registration is free and open to the public. There is a $10.00 entry fee, per car, to enter the park. The fee is $5.00 for seniors aged 62 and older and persons with a disability. Park rules and fees can be found here.

Call for volunteers
The CCC needs volunteer support at the June Survivors Day Celebration as well as other exciting in-person events coming up throughout the year. Help us by staffing a CCC event table and spread awareness about cancer prevention and survivorship. CCC Pizza Fundraising Events – June 22
In addition to the Survivors Celebration, Colorado Cancer Coalition is holding pizza fundraisers across Colorado on June 22, to celebrate cancer survivors in the month of June. Beau Jo’s Lone Tree and Fort Collins locations, and MOD Pizza – Grand Junction, will donate a percentage of sales to CCC.
