Participants Needef for CSU Study

Colorado State University is looking for 5 Latina breast cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers to participate in a one-time 30–60-minute interview to discuss their experience in treatment.

The purpose of this project is to interview Latinas who have received or are receiving breast cancer treatment within the last four years (2019-present) and a family member who has provided care for a Latina who has had breast cancer between (2019 -present). We want to explore their current needs and identify mental health topics they want to learn more about. The family caregiver does not need to be associated with a Latina breast cancer participant, just needs to identify as providing care to a Latina receiving or having received breast cancer treatment between 2019-present.

The interviews will be 30-60 minutes and conducted online or via phone in English or Spanish and participants will be given $25 for completing the interview. The long-term goal of this project is to implement what we have learned from the interviews into an actual counseling intervention for both Latina breast cancer survivors and their family caregivers.
