Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing & Corporate Development, the Marketing & Outreach Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy, event planning and management, assisting with development and fundraising, and leading community outreach efforts for the organization.
The Susan G. Komen Colorado Affiliate is searching for a dynamic, proven leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and guide the organization through its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is a highly-skilled professional with proven success in leading organizational turnaround, creating and implementing strategic vision, and forging a pathway for aggressive revenue diversification and fundraising growth. She/he is responsible for ensuring that the Affiliate builds programs that advance its mission, secures necessary resources to meet its objectives, and utilizes the funds it raises in an efficient and effective matter. She/he should also possess a strong background in board and staff relations to help facilitate optimal operations and communications between both arms of the organization. The CEO will serve as the Affiliate’s lead spokesperson and operations officer. She/he will work closely with the Affiliate Board of Directors, Komen HQ and the Affiliate Network and is responsible for expanding systems and procedures to accomplish the mission and reach the strategic goals set forth by the Board.
Responsible for providing strategic direction for an enterprise-wide portfolio for the prevention and early detection of breast, colorectal, lung, prostate, and cervical cancers. The incumbent will have responsibility for leading and implementing high-impact cancer control initiatives working in collaboration with the American Cancer Society (ACS) Divisions, community health centers, academic health centers, public health groups, and hospitals to promote ACS prevention and early detection goals in communities that experience a high burden of cancer. The incumbent will also provide leadership in strategic decision-making by identifying emerging science and trends, translating applied research, developing and nurturing appropriate internal and external collaborations, and formulating science-based public health strategies and guidelines designed to advance the Society’s mission.
